Surprise, I’m Still Going Strong-ish Edition – Days 44 – 58 – 73.84 miles

For those of you who thought I’d abandoned my ill-advised goal, you were sort of right. It’s just that the goal I temporarily abandoned was my goal of updating the blog daily.  The running goal is still intact (if not slightly behind pace).

Below you will find all of the distances for days 44 – 58. Of those 15 days, I ran during 12 of them (80%).  I totaled 73.84 miles during that time.  That leaves me nearly 11 miles behind pace. While not exactly where I want to be at this point, I feel fine and will look to close the majority of that gap in the next week.  Thankfully, the reason I am behind the pace is due to general fatigue, lack of motivation, and general life circumstances. The main concern is that my body is healthy.  If it holds up, I still have a good shot at this thing.

I also have found it interesting that I’ve had little interest in running outside in the cold as of late. Throughout November, December, and early-January I was invested in running outside as much as I could. I’m assuming that I’ve just become entirely sick of winter and dreary February has been the icing on the cake (sidenote: giving up soda for Lent was a REAL good idea). All that to say that I’m going to appreciate it when the East Coast begins to warm up in the coming weeks and months.

Already got my run in for today.  Look for a post tomorrow afternoon. Until then, check out below for all sorts of things that may or may not interest you.
